Who We Are

kept is a web application available at getkeptapp.com, built and operated by an independent developer. kept is a memory app designed to help you track and organize information about your life — appliances, warranties, contractors, services, family details, and more.

What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate kept:

• Waitlist email addresses — if you choose to join the waitlist at getkeptapp.com, we collect your email address. This is used only to contact you about kept's launch and updates. We use Formspree to process these submissions.
• Feedback submissions — if you choose to submit feedback through the app, we collect your answers and optionally your email address if you provide one. This is used to improve kept.
• Anonymous usage analytics — we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use getkeptapp.com. This includes aggregate data such as pages visited and general location. No personal identifiers are collected beyond what Google Analytics processes under its own privacy policy.
• Account data — if you create an account, we collect your email address to authenticate you via a magic link. No password is required or stored. Your email is used only for authentication and account recovery.
• App data — items, photos, and personal information you add to kept are stored securely in our cloud database (Supabase), linked to your account. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Guest users (not signed in) have their data stored locally in their browser only.

What Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not sell, rent, or share the items or personal information you add to kept with any third party
• We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels
• We do not store passwords — authentication is via magic link only
• We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or precise location data
• We do not use third-party advertising networks

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used only for the following purposes:

• To contact waitlist members about kept's launch and updates
• To respond to feedback and improve the product
• To understand aggregate usage patterns (country-level, anonymous) to improve the product

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Third-Party Services

kept uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — provides our cloud database and authentication infrastructure. Your item data, photos, and account information are stored on Supabase's servers. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
• Formspree — processes waitlist signups and feedback form submissions. Formspree's privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
• Google Analytics (GA4) — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use getkeptapp.com. This collects aggregate, anonymized data such as pages visited, session duration, and general location (country/region). Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google Fonts — loads the DM Sans typeface. Google may log font requests per their privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google AI (Gemini) — if you use the AI features in the kept app, item descriptions you type may be sent to Google's Gemini API to generate suggestions. These requests are subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not store or log these requests.

Data Storage & Security

Item data you add to kept is stored securely in our cloud database provided by Supabase, linked to your account. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Guest users who have not created an account have their data stored locally in their browser only — this data is not synced and will be lost if browser data is cleared.

Photos uploaded to kept are stored in Supabase Storage. Email addresses collected via the waitlist are stored securely by Formspree and accessible only to kept's operator.

When you delete an item in kept, it is removed from your view immediately. A record may be retained in our database for a short period to support data integrity before permanent deletion. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@getkeptapp.com.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@getkeptapp.com
• Opt out — unsubscribe from waitlist communications at any time by emailing hello@getkeptapp.com
• Portability — request an export of your kept data at any time

Children's Privacy

kept is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

Future Data Programs

In the future, kept may offer an optional, opt-in program where users can choose to share anonymized, aggregated purchase and product data with retail or research partners in exchange for benefits. This program will always be strictly opt-in — you will never be enrolled without your explicit consent, and participation will have no effect on your ability to use kept.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as kept evolves. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify waitlist members by email.
